All aboard! Hop on board the Royal Gorge Scenic Railway for a spectacular, relaxing, journey through the Royal Gorge Region. Since 1958, this "Little Train with the BIG VIEW" has been treating guests to the fantastic scenery that surrounds the region. The climax of this 3 mile, 30 minute scenic ride is the best view of the Royal Gorge and bridge available anywhere. Standing out at Point Alta Vista, reality sets in with visitors as to the magnitude of what a monumental task it was to build the bridge across the Royal Gorge Canyon. The train runs on a 15 inch narrow gauge track which is the same size used by early miner's to transport ore and other supplies in and out of the mines.

Helping to create a complete Wild West experience, the Gold Nugget Restaurant serves up a variety of western style meals, including Buffalo Burgers made from 100% pure buffalo meat. If the need to wet your whistle should arise, venture into the Silver Dollar Saloon and belly up to the bar for a "Shot of Red Eye" or a sarsaparilla, to quench your thirst. Prospectors can try their hand at panning for gold and may end up staking a claim at the assay office.
