Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Nestled in Southwest Colorado at the base of the Continental Divide,
Pagosa Springs is one of the state’s undiscovered gems. Known for its three natural hot springs facilities, “Pagosah” is the Southwestern ute word for “healing waters”.

With 300+ days of sunshine, ancient archaeological areas, and pristine forests, Pagosa Springs offers plenty of opportunities to soak up the scenery and enliven your spirit.

Surrounded by the largest contiguous wilderness area in the country, the Weminuche Wilderness, visitors to Pagosa Springs enjoy more than 3 million acres of National Forest to hike, bike, climb, drive, run, fish, raft, float, ride or explore our endless trails.

Pagosa Springs also offers visitors a rich geological and cultural history with Chimney Rock Archeological Site, the farthest “outlier” of Chaco Canyon, offering a fascinating historical look into the ancient culture of the Ancestral Puebloan indians and the Fred Harman and Historical Museums both giving an intriguing insight at the rich past.

1) Unlike other Colorado sites, the Mineral Hot Springs have smaller soaking pools located along the beautiful San Juan River and also have indoor and outdoor mineral soaking baths.

2) Outdoor Activities & Attractions are endless...Visit spectacular natural features such as the Great Sand Dunes Nat’l Monument or Mesa Verde, located only a few hours away.

3) At 7,079 feet, temperatures range from highs of the mid 80s to lows in the 30s, and a yearly average of 20.21" of rain.

Mineral Hot Springs
Unlike other Colorado sites, the hot springs facilities here have smaller soaking pools located around the beautiful San Juan River and also have indoor and outdoor mineral soaking baths.

Location, Location, Location!
That's what they say... and for good reason. Pagosa Springs is located between two Narrow Gauge Railroads, only a short distance from Mesa Verde and the Great Sand Dunes National Monument, and in the center of spectacular Scenic Drives. Or, visit Chimney Rock Archeological Area or the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park... and that's just to name a few!

Outdoor activities are endless... golfing, hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, rafting, and much, much more!
